- Prepare your base, board or diorama. Make sure the surface is clean and dry. If you are applying the scatter to a painted surface, you may want to apply a thin coat of varnish first to protect the paint.
- Apply a thin layer of basing glue to the area where you want to apply the scatter. You can use a brush or your fingers to do this.
- Sprinkle the scatter over the glue. Be careful not to overdo it. You can always add more scatter later if needed.
- Allow the glue to dry completely. This may take several hours.
- Once the glue is dry, you can apply a thin layer of sealant to the scatter to seal it in. This is optional, but it will help to prevent the scatter from coming loose.
