Tips
Tips
- For a more realistic look, use a variety of sizes and shapes of leaf cover.
- You can also use leaf cover to create different effects. For example, you can use it to represent a thick layer of fallen leaves in a forest, or you can use it to create a few scattered leaves on a sidewalk.
- If you are applying the leaf cover to a large area, you may want to use a spray adhesive instead of glue. This will help to speed up the process and will also help to prevent the leaf cover from blowing away.
- If you make a mistake, don't worry! Simply brush away the excess glue and try again.
Here are some specific examples of how you can use Leaf Cover to create some common effects:
- To create a thick layer of fallen leaves: Apply a thin layer of glue to the baseboard or diorama. Then, sprinkle a generous amount of leaf cover over the glue. Be sure to cover the entire surface. Allow the glue to dry completely. Once the glue is dry, you can add a few clumps of larger leaf cover to represent piles of fallen leaves.
- To create a few scattered leaves: Apply a thin layer of glue to the base, board or diorama. Then, sprinkle a few small pieces of leaf cover over the glue. Be careful not to overdo it. You want the leaves to be scattered evenly. Allow the glue to dry completely.
- To create a forest floor with leaves: Apply a thin layer of glue to the baseboard or diorama. Then, sprinkle a mixture of green and brown leaf cover over the glue. Be sure to cover the entire surface. Allow the glue to dry completely. Once the glue is dry, you can add a few twigs or small branches to represent fallen trees or shrubs.
With a little practice, you can use Leaf Cover to create a variety of different scenes and effects. So get creative and experiment!
Instructions for use
Instructions for use
- Prepare your base, board or diorama. Make sure the surface is clean and dry. If you are applying the leaf cover to a vertical surface, you may want to apply a thin coat of varnish first to protect the paint.
- Apply a thin layer of glue to the area where you want to apply the leaf cover. You can use a brush or your fingers to do this.
- Sprinkle the leaf cover over the glue. Be careful not to overdo it. You can always add more leaf cover later if needed.
- Use a brush to gently press the leaf cover into the glue. Make sure that all of the leaf cover is well-adhered.
- Allow the glue to dry completely. This may take several hours.
- If you want, you can prime and paint the leaf cover. This is not necessary, but it can help to create a more finished look.
