Tips
- Apply basing glue evenly — spread a thin, even layer before pouring for consistent coverage
- Pour generously then tap off — pour sand over wet glue, press lightly, then tap to remove excess
- Seal before painting — apply matt varnish or scenic sealant to lock the sand in place before adding washes or drybrushing
- Drybrush for highlights — a light drybrush of pale pink or white over sealed sand adds depth and a vivid, otherworldly shimmer
- Add exotic or alien tufts — complement with alien flora, glowing mushrooms, or vibrant plant life for a rich, exotic scene
- Apply a magenta or purple wash — deepen the tone to enhance the bold, decadent Slaaneshi feel
- Mix with purple or amethyst sand — blend around the edges for a rich, multi-tonal exotic gradient
- Varnish to protect — seal the finished base with matt varnish to protect during gaming and transport

Instructions for use
- Apply adhesive — Coat your surface evenly with a water-based PVA adhesive or similar hobby glue. For best results, dilute PVA slightly with water (roughly 3:1 ratio) to help the sand bond firmly without clumping.
- Place the sand — While the adhesive is still wet, sprinkle Modelling Sand - Turquoise generously over the surface. Gently press it down with your fingers or a soft brush to ensure good contact. Tip away any excess back into the bag.
- Allow to dry — Leave the surface to dry completely in a well-ventilated area for a minimum of 2–3 hours, or overnight for best results. Do not disturb the sand while drying to avoid uneven patches.
- Paint and finish — Once fully dry, apply your chosen paints, washes, or varnish over the sand to achieve your desired effect. A coat of diluted PVA over the top can also be used as a final sealant to lock the grains in place permanently.
