- Prepare the surface: The surface of the tree model or terrain should be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. If you are applying the foliage to a painted surface, make sure that the paint is dry.
- Cut the foliage sheets (optional): If desired, you can cut the foliage sheets into smaller pieces using scissors. This can be helpful for applying the foliage to smaller areas or for creating a more varied effect.
- Apply the adhesive: Apply a thin, even coat of adhesive to the surface of the tree model or terrain where you want to apply the foliage. You can use PVA glue or another model adhesive.
- Apply the foliage: Place the foliage sheets on the adhesive-covered surface. You can use a brush to help press the foliage sheets into place.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have applied the foliage to all of the desired areas.
- Allow the adhesive to dry: Allow the adhesive to dry completely before handling. This may take several hours or overnight, depending on the type of adhesive used.
- Shape the foliage (optional): Once the adhesive has dried, you can use a brush or your fingers to shape the foliage into the desired form.
- Seal the foliage (optional): To protect the foliage from damage, you can seal it with a clear acrylic varnish. Apply a thin, even coat of varnish using a brush. Allow the varnish to dry completely before handling.
